Contract

Just as buying a "real couch" makes me feel a little more grown up, so does signing a contract to be a contributor to a published book...a quilting book no less! My virtual quilting bee, Block Party, is being turned into a book that will be written by our fearless leaders Kristen and Alissa and published by C&T Publishing, a quilting and fiber arts company. As members of the bee, each of us have been given one of the twelve chapters in which our quilt will be featured.

More than a "how-to" manual, the book will also speak to the emergence of virtual quilting bees and the sense of community crafters have found online. Modern quilters unite!

CONGRATULATIONS! This is so exciting. Maybe when the book is published you should submit a blurb for your alma mater's alumni magazine. ;)

How wonderfully thrilling for you and your BEE girls! Congrats...and you'll have to have a party to celebrate when the book is published and we can all get our very own autographed copies!

Hi Sarah! I just got the comment you left on my blog and realized (since I came to your blog via your profile rather than through my Dashboard) that you're a librarian! This is so neat to me because I'm currently doing my Master of Information at the University of Toronto to become a librarian!

It's so neat about the book, isn't it? I've wanted to join an online quilting bee for awhile but am worried that I'm not quite up to snuff with everyone else. Congratulations on having your work shown in the upcoming book!
