Sing it to Me!

Some of you might despise me for admitting this, but I'm such a sucker for Christmas/holiday music that this past weekend on (November 1) marked my annual foray into listening to solely Christmas music until December 26. I don't decorate for or really delve into Christmas until Thanksgiving is over, but there is too much good Christmas music out there to only have less than 30 days to listen to it.

My husband thinks otherwise and therefore refuses to listen until he's finished his last bite of pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving Day. I can respect this decision and totally approve of those of you who want to save the tunes until after Thanksgiving. In the meantime, however, I listen to as much as I can in my office and in my car.

Since temperatures were in the high 60s this weekend and for the last couple of days in Chicago, I held off listening, but now I can't wait for one more second!!! I think I'll start with perhaps one of the best Christmas albums ever made, Mariah Carey's Merry Christmas, followed by some Andy Williams. If you have a suggestion of a much-loved album I need to add to my collection, please don't hesitate.

One that i love that is not an old classic, is Mindy Smith's "My Holiday." If you are not a fan of Mindy Smith, you probably wouldn't like the album.

I grew up on Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith, so I of course, have to listen to their christmas albums each year! :)

I definitely don't despise you for it, but I'm avoiding your office and car until after Thanksgiving!

Mariah Carey is THE christmas album if you ask me...and Christmas music is fair game after Halloween (there is no Thanksgiving music after all!!)
And in terms of the election...it is a JOYFUL DAY!!

I like Jack Johnson's "Rudolph" and Fiona Apple's "Frosty the Snowman." Both make me grin!

I love listening to Christmas music all year long if it makes you feel better. Two of my favorites: Etta James Christmas and Sufjan Steven's Christams . . . highly, highly recommend.

And of course, it wouldn't be Christmas without a little blasting of Manheim Steamroller just for fun : )

OMG! Mariah's Christmas CD is my ALL TIME FAV!!! I love it!!!! Good choices.

I'm a sucker for Christmas music too, start listening to it early, and well, the decorations, they are already slowly creeping out of their boxes!

It is way too warm here today to even believe that Christmas is just around the corner but like you I totally go for the music right up until the 27th (we celebrate Boxing Day too) and then it is off for another year:)

You presumably didn't despise me for not being in the Halloween spirit so who am I to judge!

I listen to Christmas music all year 'round. I can't help it. I just love Christmas music. There is a music station here that starts playing Christmas music 24 hours a day on November 1!
