Love At First Bite

TK and I have a new favorite dinner stand-by that we're both madly in love with. Sometimes you just don't have time to cook. Sometimes you don't want a healthy meal. Sometimes you need to throw caution to the wind. Sometimes... you just need a corn dog.

We're particularly taken with the State Fair brand which can be easily acquired at Target or other retailers for an everyday low price. Get the 16-count box (or higher) or you'll run out before you know it.

I'm all for preparing homemade meals that are healthy, hearty, and take time and effort to make, but there are some nights when we just don't have the energy to whip up a culinary masterpiece. Those are the nights when we cast a glance at each other from across the room wondering what to eat, stare knowingly into each others eyes, and know that a hot dog covered in honey corn batter is in our near future.

Mmmmmm... one of my favorite foods from childhood: the corn dogs at Cedar Point.

No you didn't!!! I'm shocked, astonished and deeply disturbed that you love corn dogs.

Just don't ask me to tell you my guilty pleasure *coughcornedbeefhashcough*!

So funny! It would never have occurred to me to have a corn dog for dinner...actually, I'm not sure I have ever had one. When Luke and i have those nights, we usually opt for frozen pizza...

For those of us less inclined to eat meat, Trader Joe's has a great veggie corn dog!

See now, it's another one of those differences that make the world interesting. To me, there is NOTHING appealing about a corn dog. But I hope you enjoy yours!

I'm a big fan of Morningstar Farms corn dogs. Delish!

I didn't have a corn dog until I was at my first job after college. Boy - I had no idea what I was missing! I always loved hushpuppies as a kid - throw a hot dog in and *bam!* gold mine.

Yet another reason we should be friends.

Did you see my post on the hot dog?
