"I Have Hauna"

Today is my sister Hauna's birthday, March One. There really isn't anything I can write to do justice to the love, pride, and respect I have for my sister. We've been best friends ever since she was born. My mom would take us on walks and I would say to passing strangers, "I have Hauna!" I may not say the same exact phrase today, but it is still how I feel about my little sister. I have Hauna. I get to share a bond with her only sisters share between each other. I am the lucky one that gets to call her my own.

Hauna is now finishing up her trip to Korea where she taught English for the past 3 months. She is a brave girl who loves people, cultures, languages, traveling, and so many other things. Something else she loves and can't seem to find much of in Seoul are pastries. Hauna has a sweet tooth that rivals a honey bee, and if I could get her some treats right now I would! Hauna, this picture is so that I can at least give you a feast for your eyes today. Yum yum, huh? Happy Birthday, Sissy. I love you so much and can't wait for you to come home to me soon!

My little girls...you make a papa proud. I will always remember Hauna's declaration of her birthdate as "March one." My children have shown me the true essence of what love is all about. You will always be MY little girls!

You are so sweet, Sarah. I always wished I had a sister to share such a bond with. You and Hauna are both so lucky to have one another!
