Essence of India

Ever since Hauna left for Korea, she and I have been salivating over the next time we would be able to go to our favorite restaurant in Lincoln Square, Essence of India. In the past I have not been a big fan of Indian food, curries, and the like, but when Hauna and I went there back in November, I was hooked! Maybe it's a little expensive, but its prime location and low-lit ambiance lend themselves to higher prices, as can be expected. I am all for getting a good deal at an Indian buffet up on Devon, but Essence of India is right outside my door, and it is decadent!

Last night we got the (Chicken) Murg Tikka Masala, which is to die for, and the Lamb Pasanda, which was a little less to die for when compared to the aforementioned chicken dish. If you are afraid of spiciness, they can prepare it as mild as you would like. If you like it spicy though, they can bring on the heat. I stick by what I said earlier in the year to some friends - "Essence of India is the essence of AWESOME."
