A long weekend does a body good. So do a few friends celebrating Independence Day, as does a visit with family away from the city. While my freedoms don't include not having to go back to work after the precious weekend, I remain a patriot.

And what glorious freedom that would be: to have an income and not work. Although, I suppose I would get bored... and I don't suppose our founding fathers would be too proud of my attitude... but it sounds pretty good right after a long weekend when I'm fighting sleep at my desk.
