July's Martha Stewart Living issue was of course full of lovely ideas this month. Delicious burger ideas, sandwich recipes, some gardening highlights, summer entertaining advice...it was all packed in and I'm waiting with baited breath to receive my August issue.
If there is one food item I can't do without it's peanut butter. Smooth, crunchy, all-natural, processed....I love it all! Combine it with chocolate and ice cream and I'm yours. When I saw the article, "Cool, Creamy, Delights," I knew I had to try my hand at the Brownie and Peanut Butter Ice Cream Sandwiches found on page 108. I will admit that I chose to forgo making the ice cream from scratch and just used store-bought vanilla, adding crunchy peanut butter to that, thus saving some time. I would strongly recommend a heavy duty spatula for removing these suckers from their tray...I used the Pampered Chef Large Serving Spatula given to me by my blessed mother-in-law. Use an ample amount of elbow grease as well, friends.
Check out the recipe here and give them a try!

They were excellent! A true hit!
Yummm. I hated peanut butter growing up and actually didn't eat it until college, when I fell head over heels in love. In fact, maybe I fell a little too hard...I think I O.D.'ed on it for awhile. This recipe sounds dreamy, though!
Now that's a quality cooking adventure!
Yum! I will definitely try those.
Oh my gosh, those look so good right now!
