...And We're Back!

The wedding was a raging success!!! As far as I can recall, everything went off without a hitch and was perfectly wonderful! The new chapel at Camp Mission Meadows was finished just in time for the ceremony, February gave us a sunny, precipitation-free day, music, flowers... it all worked. The reception was elegant and exciting, made possible mostly through TK's creativity and hard work. The speeches were beautiful, the big band played their hearts out, the iPod rocked the casbah, and the company was grand. So many people from far away came to celebrate with us, and we are most grateful!

We'll have more soon, but here are a few pictures that we've gotten from our great photographers! Sweet Madeline, our flower girl and niece, got in on a dance with TK (pictured last) and proceeded to dance the night away with the rest of the guests!

I have the tendency to err on the side of not making too big a deal of things or dwelling upon anything too much... certainly including all things bridal. My dear friend Amy Daigle gave me some good advice toward the beginning of our engagement, and that was to enjoy this time of planning and being engaged because it is the only time I'd have to do that. Rather than roll my eyes at bridal magazines, only focus on life after the wedding, or cringe at the idea of being the center of attention (which are a things I am more apt to do), I'm proud of myself for embracing these past six months of engagement and not being afraid to be a bride. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and will always remember it fondly. In my never-ending attempt to gracefully find a balance in life, I'm chalking the past six months up in the success column.
