Harvest & Fair Trade Festival

Over the weekend my church had a Harvest & Fair Trade Festival for the neighborhood. Below are some highlights. Unfortunately I didn't get a good shot of the 10 crockpots of chili, one of which was made by yours truly.

For your cooking pleasure:

White Chicken Chili

2 cans great white northern beans
1 can chicken broth
1 cup celery, cubed
1 cup white onion, sliced
2 chicken breasts, cubed
1/2 small jar of salsa
1 small jalepeƱo, sliced
1 TBSP oregano
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp red pepper
2 cloves garlic

Cook in slow-cooker for 8-10 hours. At 6 hours, add mixture of 3 TBSP flour and enough water to create a paste.

Serve with sour cream, Mexican cheese, and cornbread.
