I've got to give my mother-in-law a special shout out for helping me cut the foam for the blocks this weekend with her electric carving knife. She's got the goods!
The pattern called for 9 blocks, but I didn't want to overdo it, so I just made four. Aren't they the cutest blocks you can even imagine? I think so too!
Electric carving knife? Really? Hmmm. That is clever. The blocks are adorable. How big are they? Oooooh. I know a one year old who would love those... I might have to copy you.
ReplyDeleteWhen I worked at the fabric store that's what we had on hand to cut the foam. Those turned out so cute.
ReplyDeleteDo you like the book? I have a gift card to Borders and I was thinking that a sewing book would be a good way to use it. Any recommendations?
They are the cutest blocks - I love the fabric!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute, I would play with them! And...mark me down for two throw pillows in that fabric, please. :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous idea! I love them! I think it would be great as a parent to be able to choose how your children's toys look. I mean, if you're going to have blocks laying around, they might as well look cool!
ReplyDeletethose are so cute! do you take orders? i need some pillows! =)
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome! You have the greatest taste in fabric!
ReplyDeleteI love them!!! So cute and cool. You are amazing! Love you.

Fantastic! I'm going to make those for my nephews. I wonder if anyone I know has an electric carving knife?
ReplyDeleteWhichever child gets these is very lucky. Glad you found something out of the book to make. I love the little turtle (I think it's in that book).
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh my - those are adorable! I love them!
ReplyDeleteThese just might be loads of fun in my classroom!
ReplyDeleteThose are great! You did a fantastic job! I have been looking at tutorials for blocks recently, since just like you, quite a few of my relatives and friends are expecting little ones.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to go and check her book out. I have In Stitches and just love it!
This might have to be another project that I attempt. I love the fabric on these. You are quite talented!
ReplyDeleteThanks for providing me lot of information about Clear Span Fabric Building.
