We celebrated Sawyer's baptism a couple weekends ago and were blessed to have all of our family there to witness this visible sign of an invisible grace.
While helpless like a baby, it is my deepest belief that our creator loves us all beyond understanding, knows our need, and claims us as his own. It is our prayer that our boy will find his hope in Christ alone.
Sarah - this is one of the most beautiful baptism photos I have ever seen. It isn't about family, or about a crying baby...it is about that invisible grace, offered to a helpless and beautiful baby. And love. There is such love. It brought tears to my eyes!
I can't quite see my keyboard through the tears. It gives a parent such joy to see one's own children having the desire to have their children know the love of the living redeemer.
Oh Sarah - how beautiful. Tears, sniff. In Christ Alone is my most favorite hymn. God bless your sweet little munchkin and may he fall head-over-heels in love with Jesus.
No, we were in Chicago at our church, ResCov. The hymn is from Owl City, I think he just recorded it on his own and just put it on his blog. I miss you guys too...coming to Chicago anytime soon?
oh so special, we just had elodie's (my 4th baby) baptism and it was so special!
that is a lovely photo! so beautiful. there is something so beautiful and pure about little babies starting their journey with God and joining the church.
